Virtual Rotterdam in 3D-Pilot Conference

Rotterdam 3D in VirtuoCity during opening 3D-pilot conference
On June 16, the closing session of the 3D pilot site took place, which was organized by Geonovum, Land Registry, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Environment and the Dutch Geodetic Commission. Rotterdam hosted the conference was that this day also launched its 3D product Rotterdam. The conference was attended by approximately 400 participants.

Over the past year, 60 organizations have worked together to give applications of 3D geo-information a boost. On the basis of concrete situations different aspects were covered, ranging from 3D data acquisition, definition of 3D standards, management and use of 3D data in applications. The results were presented at the conference. It gave a good insight into how a generic approach to 3D can be done?
Rotterdam 3D VirtuoCity
With VirtuoCity 3D Rotterdam was brought to life. The CityGML data from the3D model of the city of Rotterdam, produced by the company Blom, is 1-to-1 in VirtuoCity imported. The Congress participants were surprised by a 3D video of Rotterdam in which the city could be seen from a helicopter.
